Porch Pool Time

The condo association where we live are real sticklers about what can/can't be on your balcony.  Toys and pools are not on the approved list, so we had to come up with a way to have fun, but stay within the rules.  So we decided to get this really tiny pool.  Abbie can play and have fun, but it's small enough that I can dump it after she is done and store it behind the air conditioner unit so it doesn't create an "eye sore" for others.  Abbie thinks this is the best thing ever!

 Abbie also loves to get her feet wet and make foot prints on the balcony.  She loves to make them and then watch them evaporate. 

 Chelsey Bug came over the other day and we got the pool out for some summer fun!  It's a good thing there was no one below....because the water was being dumped over the edge!  They had the best time!!!

 Then we got out the tea set and they had a tea party in the pool....yummy :(

Father's Day

Happy Father's Day!!!

We started off the morning with Daddy opening the card and gifts Abbie and Aimee got for him.

Abbie was very pleased that Daddy loved her card.  She worked hard getting the stamps and her name just where she wanted them!

Mini Chefs

Today Abbie and the Bonny boys, Michael and Jason, got to be mini chefs!!!  When we got to the mall the kids chose an apron....Abbie chose purple (since pink wasn't an option) and Michael chose blue (his favorite color)!

 The first activity was making some really cute Father's Day gifts for dad.  The kids got to color key chains and do a scratch project for dad!  Abbie was impressed with Michael's artistic skills and eventually even recruited him to help her finish her project....he was happy to lend a hand!

 Next we visited a table to put foods in categories....Healthy vs. Not Healthy!!  Michael and Abbie were so funny about this!  In their little minds....if it was a food they liked....it was healthy....if they didn't like it....it was unhealthy!  Michael had a hamburger in the healthy and a pear in the unhealthy....Cute kids!!!

 Next we went to the snack table....UNHEALTHY....but delicious!!!

 Jason enjoyed his cookie and was serious about it...That's the best face I could get...and I was pulling out all my funny faces trying to get him to smile....he was not amused!

 It was a great day at the mall!  It was even better because we got to spend it with good friends!  The smile and the chocolate goo....say it all!  Success!!!



Addicted

Aimee had her first smoothie on Monday...the girl is now addicted!  She whines for one everyday!  When she sees the cup with the straw that I put the smoothies in, she grabs at the cup and whimpers.  I ask her, "Do you want a smoothie?" To which she smiles and says, "da da!" (translation...."yes")...

She drinks her smoothie just like this until it's all gone....She is serious about her beverage!

Goin' Ridin' Part 2

We realized that the bike situation we had just wasn't going to work for us anymore.  We needed a way to carry both girls at once....Then along came my sweet friend, Julia to save the day!  She had a bike trailer that her kids had outgrown.  She offered it to us!  How wonderful is that?  So we got the bikes ready for our maiden voyage....Success!

Tutu

I was digging through the bin of clothes for Aimee and I came across this adorable swimsuit.  I got it as a gift at my baby shower and I had forgotten about it.  I pulled it out and it was exactly her size!  I put it on her and immediatly she was a different girl!  I could tell she LOVED it!  She was prancing around, smiling and making happy noises!  Enjoy a 1 year old in a tutu!!!
