Does Cheese Make You Happy?

Just look at these pictures and judge for yourself...I would say Doritos make Abbie very happy...She is just saving some of the cheese for later...yummy!



Not only is Dorito residue on her face and fingers...the carpet also got a nice print...Bad mommy...


"Why is my mama letting me walk around with this face and orange stained fingers?" Oh wait, I can answer that question..."Because I'm so cute!"

Note to self...Put Abbie in her high chair before giving her Doritos...Lesson learned!

Swim Lessons

For the past two weeks Abbie has been taking a swimming class. She has LOVED it! I am so impressed with her progress. She can now float on her back with little to no help for 5 or more seconds. She also can swim with her face in the water and can kick her little feet. Abbie loves to jump off the side of the pool and is not afraid to get her head under the water. It has been a fun two weeks.

Pioneer Day Celebration

Our Church members from this area got together for a Pioneer Day celebration. It was a fun evening with music, games, friends and yummy food. Some of our fun:


Abbie has never had her face painted before. She has seen kids at the theme parks with it done, and I know she notices, but it is a bit expensive to get it done there. Well, this was our chance...free! She wanted a butterfly and was really excited!

Photography Expert?

I went with Mike over to visit with some people in our ward. Abbie was getting restless, so I let her play with my camera, since that is something that I NEVER let her do. She was completely entertained taking pictures of everyone and everything. Here are just a couple of pictures she took...most didn't turn out because she insisted on holding the camera by the lense cover...so she just got close ups of her fingers...cute!

More Mommy and Daddy

Getty Museum

Last week we took the Young Women in our ward up to the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles. It was an all day trip and turned out really well. The girls got to see original works of art by Van Gogh, Rembrandt, da Vinci...lots of culture. Here are some of the girls and highlights:

There are a lot of really neat things at the Getty...the only problem is you can't use a flash and my camera doesn't do well in low light. If you can sorta make this out...it is a wood carving...It is made with ONE solid piece of wood...the details are incredible!

Water Girl

Yesterday evening we decided to go swimming as a family. Abbie LOVES the water and we love to play with her...so we figure it is a win--win situation! Here are some of the highlights:

Mike is teaching Abbie how to have a proper water fight...It looks like Abbie's winning!

She loves wearing this water ring...it gives her so much freedom to move around! What a cutie!
