We recently had a YW activity where we learned survival skills and passed off certifications for Girls Camp. I was in charge of teaching the girls how to purify water and waterproof matches. For some of the "older" girls...this was on the boring side...since they "have already done THIS before..." So one of the girls got this great idea to "spice" up the activity. She wanted to REALLY purify water and drink it. The first thought was dirty water from the steam down the road, but then the subject of toilet water came up...and they thought it was a BRILLIANT idea...so off to the bathroom they went to collect toilet water. We used the techniques we learned to purify it...and then they partook...

These girls are now ready for the GREAT OUTDOORS!

OMG. i dont know if i could do this! ...then again, desperate times call for desperate measures!
Kamra told me about that. I think it's still disgusting, no matter how purified.
