She's Swinging

Now that Aimee is sitting up so well, we put her in the swings at the park...and she LOVED it! I have a feeling she will be a daredevil just like her big sissy! Here are her first 2 times in a park swing...Her smile just couldn't get any bigger!

I liked this picture because you can see the size difference...they just grow way too fast...I remember, like it was yesterday, when Abbie was this little!

The Map

We were getting ready to go and have lunch with Mike at his work. I was strapping Aimee into her carseat and Abbie went out onto the balcony to wait for me. She has sidewalk chalk out there and I could hear her drawing. When I came out...this is what I found...(explanation below)...

On the left is "Daddy" with a tuff of hair on top of his head (he only wishes...LOL)! in the middle is the long road we go on to get to Daddy's work (the 405 freeway) and the last circle is Daddy's work.

Abbie went on to tell me this was the map we needed to get to Daddy's work. Daddy was first to show us the way. Then we go on the long road and third we get to Daddy's work...Somehow, I think she might be watching too much Dora the Explorer!!!

Aimee Figures Out "The Straw"

We went to McDonald's the other day and I was giving Aimee small bits of my hamburger bun and pieces of french fry. I figured she was getting thirsty, so I was trying to do the "finger over the straw" thing with Abbie's apple juice. Well, the straw is so tiny that she was hardly getting any juice and was grunting for more. I decided to see what she would do if I put the straw in her mouth...and lo and behold, she sucked that juice right up. She was so proud of herself. She just kept wanting more and more. It was super cute to see her try and hold the straw. Big girl!

Curly Hair

Ok, ok...so it's been forever since I've posted...I'm feeling very overwhelmed with the amount I have to blog about...so, I've made it my plan to stay up with current pictures and then do back logged pictures as I have time.

Here is Miss Abbie with her curly hair after the pink rollers. It was hard to get a good picture because she LOVED the curls so much, she kept bouncing around and not letting me get a good shot. But you get the idea! I learned some good tricks, now that I have done it once...so I anticipate that the next time I put rollers in her hair, it will turn out even better!

Pink Rollers

At church Abbie saw some friends with curly hair. She said, "Mom, I want curly hair like my friends!" So, I explained to her that she would have to sleep in pink rollers and in the morning, her hair would be dry and curly. Abbie is always up for a new adventure, so we got some pink sponge curlers and tonight we are trying them for the first time. She is super excited...

Snail Mail

Abbie loves getting mail. This week she got a package from Nana, Dallin and Garrett. Here are some video clips of her opening the package and discovering what was inside. She makes me smile! Thanks Nana for sending the package!
