Build A Bear

Before Abbie was born, we decided to go to Build A Bear and make her first stuffed animal. It was such a fun time and Abbie loves her bunny so much, we wanted the same experience for Aimee. So this time, instead of the adults picking out the bear, we let "Big Sister" Abbie do the work...


After much consideration, Abbie chose a pink bear for Aimee. I wasn't sure, at first, that I loved the choice, but knew it was a special bear from Abbie to Aimee and pink just fit...Here is Abbie waiting with the shell of the bear. She is just getting started!



After the bear is stuffed but before they sew it up, you choose a heart to go inside. They have little things you do with the heart before it goes in. In this picture, Abbie is rubbing it between her hands to give the bear a "warm heart".



Giving the heart a kiss before it was put into Aimee's pink bear...



After the bear is made, you take her over to the bathing table. There the bear is given the once over with a blow dryer to get her nice and fluffy...



Really making sure the "pink bear" is clean!



Abbie's bunny dressed in her new outfit...It took a LONG time to decide on the final pick...We all were happy with the choice!
