Christmas Eve

Our friends, the Fernandez family, invited us to their home for Christmas Eve. They had traditional Hispanic food...homemade tamales, tacos, hot fruit drink, candy, etc...it was so delicious! Guadalupe's mom was able to get a Visa to come to the United States for a visit. She was there and helped cooked this delicious spread! We had a really good time visiting and enjoying each others company and traditions. We started the festivities around 9:00 pm and it was going to last until around 1:00 am...Abbie was not going to make it that long, so we closed up the night around 11:30...after all we needed to be asleep for Santa to come!

Abbie and Valerie...Valerie is not happy to get her picture taken!

Lupita celebrated her 8th birthday on December 23. We ate cake on the 24th as celebration of her special day!

Cake...Yummy

The girls...Crystal, Lupita, Abbie and Valerie

All the friends with the cake...from left to right...Kevin (bottom), Gabriel (above), Crystal, Lupita (birthday girl), Abbie and Valerie.

ADORABLE!

Lupita trying her hardest to keep the little ones back from picking all the fruit off the top of the cake and putting their little fingers in it!

Lots of little helpers to cut the cake!

Gotta love the goo....We let the kids have a free for all and they were covered in sucker slime, cake and dinner goop. Then the goo got dirty and hair got stuck in it. All the kids were sticky messes...but very happy!

Opening the photo albums!

As a gift to the girls, I printed out about 35 pictures for each of them of the activities we have done together. I put them into a little photo album. They loved them! It was fun to see their faces!

Sporting my new coat from Guadalupe and her family! Very nice!
