Today we went to this really neat place. My friend, April, invited us to go with her and when she did, she tried to explain it to us. She kept saying, "It's like the beach and a pool altogether. There is sand and then it goes into a pool." So in my mind I was tring to picture this place. It wasn't until we got there that it all made sense. So you can see in the pictures that it is a nice sandy beach with lounge chairs and everything. Then as you go out into the water, it gradually goes from sand to the regular pool. Don't ask me how they do it, or why the water isn't murky and gross, but it isn't! The water is clear and the sand stays at the bottom of the pool. It's cool because it stays shallow for a long time, so the kids really feel like they are "swimming" with the big kids, far away from shore. Abbie had a great time playing in the sand, splashing and swimming in the water and chasing birds. It was fun!
